High Plains Bible Church, formerly Sovereign Grace Church, was formed in early 2005 by a small group of families who sought to provide for the community of Casper a church with strong emphasis on New Testament teaching and practice.
After 16 years, founding member Dr. Robert Griffin, “Dr. Bob” retired as the preaching elder, at that time another founding member, Jim Garbutt, accepted God’s leading to become the church’s current preaching elder.
We are a non-denominational elder lead church that affirms the Solas of the Protestant Reformation. We exist to Glorify God, Edify God’s people, and Proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our worship is centered upon our Lord Jesus Christ and includes the Expository Preaching of God’s Word.
